Lhasa Shigatse Train Brief Introduction

Be honoured as “The Closest Railway to Sky”, Lhasa-Shigatse train, completed on August 16th 2014, is the extension line of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Station. Lhasa Shigatse trains run at a speed of 120 km/h at an elevation of 3,600 meters (11,811 ft) to 4,000 (13,123 ft) in most sections. About 90 kilometres of its track passes through valley areas, and the amazed Zongga No.1 Tunnel extends 10410 meters (6.5 miles).

Day 1
1300M Arrival Kathmandu welcomed by Shivam Group representative and transfer to Hotel overnight stay

Day 2
The capital of Nepal- Kathmandu city tour – Pashupatinath, Gujeswari & Jalnarayan, evening briefing about yatra preparation, overnight stay.

Day 3
Breakfast at Hotel then transfers to Airport Flight to Lhasa or arrive Lhasa will be meet at Tibetan guide after finishing immigration formalities and drive hotel Overnight stay.

Day 4

Day 5
Drop railway station lhasa and start train from Lhasa – Shigatse (3950m) 275 Km along the Friendship Highway you cross the Khamba La (4794m). The scenic & stunning views of Nature, beautiful valleys and colourful Tibetan villages you arrive in the town of Shigatse, Tibet’s second largest city, you will be guided to explore the local market and overnight stay.

Day 6
Shigatse – Saga Drive about 450 Km to Saga stay in Saga Guest house

Day 7
Drive Mansarovar Lake(4560 meters 430 km) Today is the day for the lifetime that you are going to have Darshan of the Holy “Mt. Kailash& Lake Manasarovar” – day’s program as usual, after breakfast at around 8am, we drive through Mayum – la pass ( 17000ft ). – The highest point of the driving. On the way packed Lunch. Overnight at ManasarovarchuGumba

Day 8 Manasarovar – Darchen (4560 Meter)
Breakfast and can see the sunrise view on Lake Manasarovar we have to change our transport and use Chinese Govt Bus for Kailash Manasarovar Region. Mansarova rParikrama by Bus. (125 KM approx) The abode of god will be a lifetime – achievement. Pooja, Havana worship. Afternoon drive to Darchen (40km) 4560m.

Day 9
Darchen – Dirapuk (4890meter / 12 Km Trek) after Breakfast Drive around 30 Minutes to Darchen to Yamdwor Darshan & Start Parikrama/ Kora of Mt. Kailash will start Trekking. Today is the first day of your mount Kailash Parikrama where you have to Trek for about 5 to 7 hours. You will visit North Face of Mt Kailash Reach Dirapuk 16300ft overnight stay – hotel. Those who do not wish to go for Parikrama can go back to Darchen after crossing the Yamdwar

Day 10
Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk(4760-meter 22km trek) This day is very sensitive and we have to pass Dolma-La Pass, which is 5250 Mtr. The most Difficult Journey throughout the Yatra-trek up to the 18,600ft. The weather in unpredictable in Doma-la Pass and at any time snowstorm can fall. But you can touch the Kailash Parvat. So we try to start our journey as early as possible. In route, we can have Darshan of Gaurikund but it is very difficult to go and touch. Overnight stay at Zuthulpuk.

Day 11
Zuthulpuk to Mansarovar we will trek around 8 km and reach to the point where the Coach will be waiting for our drive to Mansarovar.

Day 12 Drive to Saga
Hotel: Saga hotel triple sharing room
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, soup cookies and coffee, Dinner

Day 13
Saga to Shigatse Drive back to Shigatse (450 km). From today we will be leaving this holy place and return Overnight stay at Dormitory Guest House.

Shigatse to Lhasa (275 km)Drive Shigatse to Lhasa
